DIRTY BROWN
JUG BAND

Americana Outlaws

Founded in 2013 by Jer Killinger in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dirty Brown Jug Band has bringing its blend of country, bluegrass, southern rock, and pure energy to the southwest. Along with fellow founding member Justin Roque these boys have been playing everywhere and anywhere they can. When the band was first formed it was basically frontman Jer writing songs about growing up in rural Ohio, and in the last five years has grown to something so much more. Their raw mixture of multiple genres, driving bass lines, artistic drum rhythms, twangy guitars, and unique vocal style has set them apart from every other "country band" in the area. These boys definitely have a style all their own. Whether it's their original songs or putting their own spin on a variety of cover songs across all genres, these boys put on a show like no other. In 2015 they won the Alibi's "Best Of Burque" in the alternative country category. They have been featured on local radio and television stations, as well as performed a few New Mexico Music festivals. They pride themselves on being different.

"I like being not country enough for the country bands, and not rock enough for the rock bands. I don't want to be pigeon holed to one genre. There is so much great music out there, why not put it in a pot, mix it up, and see what happens? I never want someone to tell me that we sound like so and so. We sound like us. And I like it that way." - Jer Killinger
